ST LAWRENCE CHURCH Registered Charity in England and Wales: 1170167
The Parochial Church Council (PCC) is the body of people which is responsible, together with the Vicar, for making certain decisions affecting the life of the parish. The matters that it discusses are wide-ranging and include the church's mission and outreach, financial and legal matters, buildings and property.
The purpose of the PCC is defined by the Church of England as "promoting in the parish the whole mission of the Church". We aim to fulfil this by taking on responsibilities for the mission of the church in our parish, working together constructively to achieve this. The church has a number of teams who report back to the PCC in the areas of Buildings, Finance, Social events and Worship.
Members of the PCC include nominated licensed priests and readers within the parish, the church wardens, together with a number of lay members of the congregation. Lay members must be on the electoral roll of the parish.
Current member of the PCC are: Revd Rob Crofton (Chair), Revd Laine Lewis (Curate), Revd Audrey Hayman (Retired Priest), Phil Jaekel (Reader), John Webster (Reader), Alison Reynolds (Reader), Margaret Seyers (Churchwarden), Elizabeth Hinton (Churchwarden), Doug Pooley, Frances Mulvey, Bob Hinton (Treasurer), Tim Rawlinson (Assistant Treasurer), Anne Roberts (Assistant Treasurer), John Holland, Heather Siebenaller (PSO), Peter Little and Sarah Orton (Secretary in Attendance).
