Explore Sundays

EXPLORE SUNDAYS happen on the 4th Sunday of the month for families with children aged 3-11.  The sessions explore the Christian faith in a fun interactive way using two different formats:

• Explore Faith are indoor sessions featuring bible stories, crafts, games etc.  Primary school aged children may be left unaccompanied.

• Explore Creation includes an outdoor aspect.  All Explore Creation sessions require all children to be accompanied by an adult.

All sessions start in the Church Centre at 9.45am and finish at 11.15am.  Explore Creation sessions include a visit to Barnwood Arboretum (weather permitting).  Please ensure appropriate outdoor clothing is provided.

All sessions will include refreshments.

Explore Creation

EXPLORE CREATION is a monthly, nature inspired session for children aged 2-11, with pre-school children accompanied by their parents/carers.  We meet at the Church Centre for a game and a Bible story, followed by a themed outdoor explore trail in the arboretum. We then return inside to finish our session with crafts and refreshments. We average 8-10 children plus adults and have been running a two-year programme including Explore Creation (six sessions based on the creation story in Genesis), Awesome Science (six sessions about stars and planets, rocks and fossils, dinosaurs, birds etc) and Explore God’s Story, journeying through the whole Bible in 12 sessions. We have a team of leaders and helpers who have been running this programme for over five years and still enjoy it very much! Do try it out.
