The Start Course

The Start Course at St. Lawrence Church Barnwood

START is a six-week course designed to explore the Christian faith through focusing on key topics such as God, Jesus, and the meaning of life. Through engaging video clips, Bible study, open discussions, and interactive exercises, the course offers a fun and accessible way to learn about Christianity. There’s no prior knowledge required, so whether you’re new to church, just beginning your journey, or have been a Christian for years, START has something to offer everyone.

What to Expect

• Video Clips & Discussions: Each session features video content that introduces key ideas, followed by open discussions where you can share your thoughts and ask questions.

• Bible Study & Interactive Exercises: We explore what the Bible says about faith in a simple and practical way, with hands-on activities that help bring the concepts to life.

• Welcoming Atmosphere: It’s a relaxed, friendly space where everyone can be themselves. Whether you're new to church or have been attending for decades, you'll feel at home.

When and Where?

The next START course will be running on TUESDAY evenings in January-February 2026, at St. Lawrence Church, Barnwood.

The dates are Tuesdays 6th,13th, 20th, 27th January and 3rd,10th February 2026.

We meet upstairs in the Church Centre, 7.30 - 9.00pm.
